If you’re a water-loving dog, living on a boat sounds like the ultimate dream. And for one lucky Vizsla, it’s a beautiful reality. She spends her days sailing the Mediterranean, waking up each morning to clear blue waters, and her morning routine of splashing into the sea might even have you rethinking your own life goals.
It definitely has me questioning mine. The sheer joy she radiates during her first swim of the day is downright contagious, a perfect reminder of the simple happiness a new sunrise can bring.
Watch her embrace the day with soulful anticipation in this gorgeous video shared on April 21:

I’ve been lucky enough to visit the Mediterranean myself and know where sweet Cala is coming from! Those pristine waters just seem to call you in, even before a proper breakfast! This good girl understands that not every day is promised, so she’s making the most of the gift she’s been given.
Her happy leap into the ocean could lift even the darkest mood. Not only is she getting in a round of exercise before her first meal of the day, but she’s also making her mom, Captain Jen (@sailing.siren), smile. And if you’re wondering, yes, she has a grassy patch to go potty on board, so she’s perfectly equipped for a day on the high seas.
Many fans also asked if this athletic pup could get back on board by herself. As her mom shows in the video, she’s a total champ at climbing back on, too!

Vizslas make the perfect adventure dogs
Vizslas are natural-born adventurers known for their high energy, stamina, and love of water. Whether hiking, swimming, or sailing, they’re happiest when they’re active. According to the American Kennel Club, Vizslas form deep bonds with their humans and dislike spending time alone.
People could feel the happy vibe radiating from Cala. @string2themax laughed, “Another tough day at the office?!” It’s hard work, but somebody has to do it.
@lienelxx shared, “Our two Labradors are jealous now!” I’m feeling a little envious as well.
Although our dogs might not have the Mediterranean to splash into each morning, they still give us many reasons to get up and start the day. After all, a sunrise spent with our four-legged companions is beautiful no matter where we get to see it in the world.
