Have you ever taken the time to come up with an elaborate, hilarious (but harmless) prank for someone you love? For some families, trying to one-up each other is part of the family culture, and there are some really good ideas to give everyone a giggle. But sometimes, the prank doesn’t work out how we expect.
One dog mom tried to prank her cute Husky, and it was a brilliant idea. But her pup outsmarted her. If you need a good laugh, here you go!

On November 30, 2024, My Mountain Husky (@mymountainhusky) shared the video of a funny prank she tried to play on her gorgeous Husky, Kakoa.
The prank was really funny and a super good idea. I don’t know if I would have seen the Christmas tree and known it was a person. While Kakoa was running around the home looking for her mom, she could probably sense she was there, being a smart dog.
Watching her run in circles around the house was so cute. But when she saw her in the tree costume, watching Kakoa jump to hug her was charming. In the comment section, other viewers thought this was a good attempt.
One person wrote, “Please tell me where you got that costume,” and someone else shared, “I often find it very interesting when dogs use their eyes to seek things instead of their noses. My dog [is] the same.”
And Kakoa very took people and how she zoomed around the home. One person wrote, “The wittle tippy-taps,” and another added, “The toenails on the floor make my heart happy.”
Huskies are energetic dogs with a fun temperament
According to the American Kennel Club, Huskies are “loyal, outgoing, and mischievous,” and they have a lot of energy.
Huskies “can’t resist chasing small animals, so secure running room is a must.” The clip of Kakoa proves that they love to zoom around. They need at least 2 hours of exercise a day and training when they’re young to help channel that desire to burn off energy.
PetPlan shares that Huskies also love to be around their family. “They have a great sense of humor that comes with their playful side, too. ” Given all this, if you’re considering getting one of these pups to join your family, it’s important to understand their needs.
“As a pretty high maintenance breed–both from a behavior and exercise point of view as well as in terms of grooming–Huskies are probably not the best choice for first-time owners,” the site explains.
They describe Huskies as “very intelligent” with “a strong independent streak.” But they also have a “tendency for mischief means training must start early, be consistent and find the right balance between firm and fair.”
If you’re a family that loves outdoor adventures and has loads of opportunities to burn off energy, as Kakoa’s family does, adding a Husky to the family mix is going to be buckets of fun!
