He’s known for the adorable way he walks down the stairs, hopping with his feet in sync in the most bouncy way. Since he has short legs, there’s no succession in how he walks, so he simultaneously jumps his front paws down, making millions of people happy with each video.
The one for Thanksgiving hit an all-new level of cute as he did his signature hops down the stairs while wearing a festive costume that made him look like a cooked turkey.
In the comment section, people were very in love with the clip. One person wrote, “The turkey is done,” and someone else added, “Have no fear the turkey has arrived.” Another viewer shared, “Oh my goodness the hops! What a cutie.”
Rocket, the ‘CEO of synchronized stumps’ is a social media star
Rocket is a star on TikTok and has been since his parents shared the first video of him walking down the stairs. He has a unique way of going from upstairs to the main floor: He hops instead of walking down each paw at a time.
All his videos have more than 20.4 million likes. His most popular video (so far) was shared on October 11, 2024, and has been viewed 114.3 million times and counting. The footage shows Rocket hopping down the stairs and giving everyone a cute “good morning.”
This is his claim to fame, and he levels up the adorable when he puts on a costume like a bumble bee costume he wore on October 25, which amassed more than 35 million plays.
Someone asked in a previous video how Rocket goes up the stairs, and his parents happily shared a video of that, too. He has the same hoppy look when going up, but he seems to go much faster.
He’s not the only Corgi who has gone viral on TikTok for his cute hops down the stairs. Another beautiful, fluffy Corgi named Hudson also hops down the stairs with happy bounces.
We’re not sure if this will become a holiday tradition for Rocket and his family but given how happy this video made so many, we’re hoping for many (many) more videos of his synchronized stomps down the stairs in costume.
