Coronado Arts Commission and Coronado MainStreet will be hosting their inaugural Coronado Volunteer Open House this Thursday, Oct. 10.
The open house is aimed at giving event-goers the opportunity to engage with over 25 local volunteer organizations, including Camp Able at Coronado, Coronado Community Foundation, Coronado Cultural Arts Commission, Coronado Woman’s Club, Coronado Fourth of July and more.
Representatives for each of the organizations will be around to engage with community members and better inform on their initiatives aimed at enhancing and beautifying Coronado. Those interested in getting involved can participate in informational sessions and register on site for upcoming volunteer events. Some attending nonprofit groups will also be advertising available board and advisory positions.
There will be a raffle with over 50 prizes, as well as refreshments and light snacks provided for all participants. Created to highlight the commitment to community engagement and volunteerism, the event is free and open to all. The evening will run from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the John D. Spreckels Center.
