The Coronado Islanders played Holtville High School on Oct. 4 for the homecoming football game. Coronado lost 54-14 to a team that was 6-0 prior to the night, and had scored 304 points for the season, only letting up a total of 14.
Coronado’s head coach Kurt Hines said he was proud of how the team played.
Meanwhile, the homecoming court made an appearance on the field at halftime, with the crowning of the king and queen, Neven Bisinovski and Scotlynn Potter.
The rest of the court consisted of Dylan Matter, Katie Collins, Jose Valazquez, Bella Fichter, Noah Santos, Hannah Fabiszak, Sierra Grella, Ryan Mondzelewski, Santi Carrera and Isabella Braga.
