The second cluster meet for the Coronado cross country team was on Oct. 15 and several runners scored personal records.
Nathan Ayan was the top runner at 17:55 for the boys’ team, which was an 11 second improvement from last season’s city conference course.
Vincent Russo was only 10 seconds behind Ayan — a time that was a 20 second improvement over the first cluster meet just two weeks prior.
Jack Letcher dipped under 18 minutes for the first time and scored 38 seconds faster than his time in 2023.
Anton Youngblood scored the biggest personal record of the day after improving his 2023 time by 2.5 minutes.Â
Oscar Alicandri and Chace Smith also scored PR’s for the boys’ team.
Meanwhile for the girls’ team, Morgan Maske placed fourth in the cluster meet with a time of 20:30 and Gwynne Letcher placed eighth, both with significant improvements over last year’s times.
