Lamb’s Players Theatre announced the opening of its production of “The Importance of Being Earnest,” which will run from Sept. 14-Nov. 10.

The production, which is noted as a “trivial comedy for serious people,” is directed by Kerry Meads and produced by Robert Smyth.

Lamb’s Players Theatre said that the show has been on their A-list to produce for many years, and Smyth became the organization’s producing artistic director in 1985.

Featured cast members are: Geno Carr, Michael Lewis Cusimano, Brian Mackey, David McBean, John Rosen, Brian Salmon, Deborah Gilmour Smyth, Lauren King Thompson and Rachael VanWormer.

Performances will run from Sept. 14-Nov. 10 on Wednesdays-Saturdays at 7 p.m. with matinee performances on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m.

Tickets range from $38 to $92, depending on the day of the week and the theatre’s seating section. There are discounts available for seniors (66+) and veterans. Half-price tickets are available for active duty military, youth (ages 5-17) and young adults (ages 18-35) who join the theatre’s free “under 35 club.”
