20 Saturday: George Hooganen is a San Diego writer, bookbinder, and arts community organizer. He teaches writing and bookbinding, and will lead a workshop on bookbinding at 10:30 a.m. in the Winn Room of the Coronado Public Library.

This workshop is an opportunity for attendees to learn how a book is made. Participants will watch a demonstration of completing a cased-in binding, and then have the chance to create their own bound copy of a public-domain short story to take home by practicing a simple saddle-stitch binding technique.

25 Thursday: In collaboration with inewsource, all are welcome to participate in a documenters training. This program is designed to equip residents with the skills and knowledge needed to take notes at public meetings and earn compensation for their work.
