Pet cafes are the best place to be. Everyone wants to go and get a little beverage while being surrounded by furry friends that you are not responsible for caring for. It’s just a fact!

The behind-the-scenes of these places must be a little hectic, though. On Tuesday, April 2nd, we got to see some footage of a huge pack of escaped Huskies. They left their pet cafe behind, and they want to make it everyone’s problem:

Everything about this video from @todayonline has me cracking up. Why are there so many? Were they in the mall already, or did they just all decide to go there? Did you all see that one pop a squat, too?!

Pet cafes are becoming increasingly common all over the world, though this one is definitely special. Typically, pet cafes are staffed with cats: they’re calmer. The cats hang out on cat trees, weaving between your legs and the legs of your chair, and sometimes in your lap. Some cat cafes even give you little saucers of milk to put out for them at your table!

Something about trying to sit and enjoy a beverage with 100 Huskies running around is terrifying to me, but at the same time, I need to try it. According to TODAY Online, the Huskies escaped into the shopping mall after someone left the door open, and it took a while to round them up again. Luckily, they were all found, and the floors were scrubbed clean of their adventure…

If you want to visit the escape artists yourself, you can find then at the HAHAHA Husky Cafe in Beijing, China (meeting the Huskies is by appointment only),

Where to pet cafe animals live?

It’s hard to imagine 100 Huskies living in a pet cafe full-time, but that is often a reality of pet cafes. While there are some exceptions, most pet cafes in the United States get their animals from shelters, almost like they’re “fostering” them, and customers can apply to adopt one if they really feel connected to it.

They’re not just allowed to run wild in the cafe all night, though: there’s typically a backroom with beds, toys, and litter boxes that they stay in when the cafe has closed down. The logistics of keeping animals in cafes is a big part of why most choose cats, birds, lizards, or other small pets over dogs: dogs need to go outside to walk, play, and use the bathroom. With a hundred Huskies? They must have crazy amounts of space!
