Whether a well-versed Coronadian on the island’s food scene or a visitor hopping into town, planning an Easter itinerary beforehand is a smart bet for the busy day. From holiday brunches to an Easter egg hunt, Coronado has all the ingredients for an eventful – and busy – day.

So, grab a bag of Peeps and peep this list of venues participating in the Easter weekend:

Hotel del Coronado

1500 Orange Ave, Coronado, CA 92118

The Hotel del Coronado will be going all out for the holiday, hosting events from March 28-31. As a longtime staple for visitors seeking an above-and-beyond luxurious beach getaway, the Del will not disappoint.

The Easter bunny and his helpers will be delivering baskets filled with treats to guest rooms from March 28-31. Surprise the kids with this special holiday tradition right at the doorstep of your hotel room by booking a time window on the Hotel Del website. Baskets cost $75.

Fire pits can also be reserved throughout the long weekend, making it possible to take in an iconic Coronado sunset while roasting marshmallows over a private bonfire. For this sandy event, guests will receive an Easter basket filled with the classic ingredients for beachside s’mores as well as holiday treats such as Peeps and Reese’s Eggs. The pits will be available from March 28-31 at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m., permitting up to 10 guests for a one-hour time frame. Reservations are required and cost $195.

Easter day itself will be jam-packed at The Del with lavish food offerings and an activity for the young ones. The Hotel del Coronado will be hosting an Easter brunch in the Southpointe Ballroom.

After brunch, head on out to Del beach for a complementary Easter egg hunt exclusive to brunch-goers and overnight guests. Kids will have the chance to meet the Easter bunny and partake in an exciting hunt for eggs scattered across the sand. The hunt will take place twice on Easter Sunday, at 10 a.m. and noon.

This chic, Parisian-inspired bistro and wine bar will be bringing a French Easter brunch to Coronado this year.

The special Easter brunch menu will offer meals like trout and potato beignets, terrine de lapin et pistaches and crab & avocado benedict. Delight in the unique flavors of trout roe adorned with a chive crème fraîche, or rabbit and pistachio terrine with a butter lettuce salad, French radish, cornichon, pickled shallot and mustard vinaigrette. The Michelin-recognized restaurant has brought French dishes to the island since 2019, and Easter brunch will be no exception.

Peohe’s

1201 1st St, Coronado, CA 92118

The fine-dining seafood restaurant situated waterfront, with expansive views of the harbor, will have special menu offerings throughout Easter Sunday. Head on over for brunch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for seafood-inspired breakfast dishes, such as eggs benedict with smoked salmon, crab and spinach omelet, lobster roll and a new edition to the menu this year – avocado toast and a prime rib hash.

After 1 p.m., Peohe’s will be offering a three course pre-selected menu for $75. Begin with a soup or salad, then choose from around 10 different entrees – including many signature dishes like their halibut mai’a, king salmon and chilean sea bass with a pinot noir reduction sauce. Make sure to leave room for dessert, as the three course meal finishes off with a sweet treat from their menu.

The Henry

1031 Orange Ave, Coronado, CA 92118

Situated in the heart of Orange Avenue, The Henry prides itself as the “greatest neighborhood restaurant.” Always bustling to the brim with restaurant-goers, Easter day is likely to be even busier. In addition to the regular menu, The Henry will be offering a few a la carte specials for the Easter holiday. Begin the morning with smoked salmon and Ossetra caviar atop homemade tater tots, or indulge in a giant cinnamon roll covered in cream cheese icing and a butter pecan sauce. For those looking for a more classic take on breakfast, The Henry will also be offering a smoked ham benedict.
