It doesn’t take dogs long to train their parents. They know how to act to get us to do whatever they want. Even when we know they can do it themselves.

Take one pup, Ellie, for example, who’s recently captured the internet’s heart for her intense love for her dad. She has him wrapped around her little finger, to the point where she refuses to walk on the wood floors in her house. But don’t let this little cutie fool you. It’s not fear that’s keeping her from walking across the floor. She just enjoys having her people do her bidding. Who could blame her?

This video from January 25 shows some well-behaved humans in training.

This small girl is hilarious! She’s mastered the art of pulling at her family’s (@myitalianfamily) heartstrings and she’s using her power any way she can. Instead of walking across the floor to take her treats, she’s convinced her parents that she’s afraid of the wood flooring. That way, they bring the treats to her. Ha! Although no one disputes that little Ellie might prefer walking on carpeted flooring, there’s plenty of video showing that she’s not afraid of the wood floor. It’s just her preference to have people bring things to her. At one point her dad comments, “Ellie, you’re starting to get spoiled.” That is for sure!

A rescue dog has found her people

This once anxious rescue dog hit the jackpot with her loving family. Before finding her doting parents, she had struggled to keep a home. Of course, now she’s a regular TikTok star!

Viewers fell in love with her story, as her family chronicled her journey to learning to trust again. She’s absolutely in love with her dad, though warming up to other people has been a challenge. Poor mom is even having a hard time winning her over! And when they tried to entertain guests at Thanksgiving, Ellie made it very clear she was not happy with strangers invading her space! But nobody seemed to mind a bit. While she may have had a tough life until this wonderful family adopted her, she truly hit the jackpot. They’re so loving, patient, and understanding with her.

This pretty girl is undoubtedly the queen of her castle. (Although, being the new favorite child, might be a little painful for her adult human siblings to accept.)

Whether Ellie is afraid of the floors or prefers to be catered to, is something we may never know. Fortunately for her, it doesn’t matter. Whatever it is she wants, her parents will give her. Isn’t that what all dogs deserve?
