It’s a really magical time of year as we enter the holiday season, but unfortunately, that magic doesn’t doesn’t come easy for everyone. So we need to share that when we can.

Rescue Dogs Are Spending the Holidays Without Their Forever Home
At the Benton-Franlin Humane Society in Kennewick, Washington, several dogs are hoping to find their forever home, but the staff and community are making sure these sweet pups know how much they’re loved.
The humane society collected donations, and people really came through.”There were so many generous donations that it took USPS two trips to bring it all,” they explained in the video.
“Kylie was so excited to get a new lamb chop stuffy,” the video clip shares along with sweet Kylie getting her toy. “And she got her special sensitive tummy treats.”
Another dog in human society had a beautiful gift, too. “Appa got these amazing squeaky balls,” and “Ollie got this comfy bed.”
Julie, who put the video together, thanked everyone for the donations and reminded them all that “All dogs adoptable at the Benton Franklin Human Society in Kennewick Washington.”
In the caption, Julie shared another thank you. “Thank you to everyone who has donated. Little things like this mean so much to the doggos,” and the audience had much to say in the comments.
“Wish they got homes instead,” one person wrote. “Such beautiful babies.”
“I want them all,” shared someone else.
“I’m crying so hard I wish everyone can see how much a pet really saves your life,” shared someone else. “It’s one of the most beautiful feelings in the world.”
“Wish I could take them all home,” admitted another TikTok viewer.

There Are So Many Benefits to Adopting a Dog From the Shelter
According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, when you adopt a rescue pet, you’re helping more than just one dog.
“It goes without saying that when you adopt a rescue pet, you’re saving a life—but you’re actually saving more than one,” the organization writes. “By adopting, you’re helping make space for another animal in need and helping to give them the opportunity to become beloved pets.”
Other benefits include giving pets a second chance, being able to get more active yourself, and enriching your home with unconditional love.
