The Sharp Coronado Auxiliary Holiday Fair is set for Nov. 3, complete with holiday vendors, food trucks and a raffle.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Sandermann Auditorium of Sharp Coronado, the Soledad Room and just outside on the lawn.
Participants can expect 20 vendors selling various merchandise—Pouch Leather Bags (a locally owned business), Pampered Chef and Tupperware.
There will also be many local vendors with handmade jewelry, holiday items, cards and more.
Proceeds will benefit the hospital
The proceeds from the Auxiliary Fair will directly benefit the hospital.
Gloria Aberasturi, board member and past president of the Auxiliary, said the proceeds enable the Auxiliary to assist the hospital with programs and projects.
“We help the hospital in major capital projects as well as programming different activities that the hospital provides the community free of charge,” Aberasturi said.
She said the group recently paid off their $100,000 pledge for the new emergency room and they made another $50,000 pledge for the next three years.
Showcasing quilts
The Auxiliary also will be showcasing quilts made by the quilt committee of the Auxiliary, all crafted from remnant pieces of material that have been donated, according to Aberasturi.
She said 100% of the quilt sales will profit the Auxiliary, and consequently, the hospital.
“I, being a major purchaser in that field, have got to recommend coming just to see the quilts that will be available,” Aberasturi said.
