Snake bites are no laughing matter, even when they come from a non-venomous serpent. However, one person’s snake bite is leaving social media viewers with a range of positive and heartwarming emotions.

Robert Irwin recently shared a video on his TikTok, @robertirwin, comparing his injury to his father’s. In the clip, Robert shares a video of his dad, Steve Irwin, when he was bitten by a snake before sharing a video of the same thing happening to him. The similarity is unreal!

Déjà vu. Dad and me getting bitten by the same species of snake (carpet python) decades apart. I found this python on the side of a road, but as you can see, sometimes snake rescues don’t quite go to plan 😂

Oh my goodness, what a moment! Robert attempted to rescue a python he found on the side of the road, but unfortunately, the snake wasn’t interested in any help and landed a bite on the right side of Robert’s face. It turns out, his dad sustained nearly the same injury from the same species of sake, and side-by-side photos of the two with blood dripping down the side of their face really drive home how similar this father and son truly are!

Steve Irwin, known as the “Crocodile Hunter,” and Robert Irwin both share a profound passion for wildlife and conservation. Steve was an iconic figure in the world of wildlife television, renowned for his fearless approach to interacting with dangerous animals and educating the public about their conservation. His boundless enthusiasm and charismatic personality made him a beloved figure globally, and his pre-mature death was felt by animal lovers around the world.

On the other hand, Robert Irwin has grown up following in his father’s footsteps and has emerged as an impressive wildlife photographer, conservationist, and television personality in his own right. Despite his young age, Robert possesses a deep understanding of animals and their habitats, and his unwavering dedication to protecting wildlife is evident in his work. They both share a remarkable ability to connect with animals, inspire others, and instill a love for wildlife and conservation in people worldwide.

Luckily for the Irwins, python bites are not venomous, and after a bit of soap and a bandage, Robert’s wound will be undetectable. In moments like this, it is abundantly clear just how much Robert takes after his father!
