During the peak summer months, it can get unbearably hot across the northern hemisphere. People and animals alike are on the lookout for anything they can do to beat the heat, just like this dog mom did for her pups.
TikTok user @good.boy.ollie previously shared a video that showed the amazing surprise this dog mom got for her canine companions. In the clip, a chocolate Lab named Ollie and a yellow Lab named Tato cool down in incredible, must-see style.

By hooking it up to a water source, it can spray water in the air at various points across the pad while the bottom becomes a shallow pool—it’s the perfect thing for a hot summer’s day. While Ollie seemed content with laying in the cool water, Tato took the opportunity to splash and chomp at the water, in classic Lab puppy fashion.
It’s no surprise that these dogs had such a wonderful day with their new splash pad. Labradors have a natural and undeniable love for playing in water, which can be traced back to their origins as retrieving dogs bred for assisting fishermen in retrieving nets and fish from the water. Their robust bodies, webbed paws, and water-resistant double coats make them natural swimmers!
As Tato clearly shows, Labradors have a boundless enthusiasm for splashing, swimming, and frolicking in just about any water source they can find. Water provides them with a refreshing and invigorating experience, allowing them to cool off during hot days while engaging in their favorite activity. Whether it’s fetching floating toys, diving into waves, or simply splashing around, Labradors find pure joy and fulfillment in the water.
It seems as though Ollie and Tato had the perfect day when it comes to staying cool on a hot day. In fact, it seemed like so much fun that we wish we could have been there, too!
