As cat owners, we know it’s nearly impossible to get our cats to do anything they don’t want to do. Do they need medication? Good luck! Is it time for them to have a bath? Yikes. Well, unless you have a cat like this little guy who is so chill, it’s shocking.
On TikTok Michèle (@mydogmademe) shared a quick video of a cat who seems to understand that the less he fights, the faster his bath will be over. And it’s hilarious — take a look!

A quick and adorable 30-second video introduces us to a black cat named Panther. He’s not like other cats, though, because as he’s getting his bath, you can tell from his face that he hates every second of it, yet his whole body is just chill.
“Panther enjoys his baths in a sort of stunned silence kind of way,” the video’s caption reads.
“Yeah. You having your bath? Yeah,” Michèle says to Panther as they rub shampoo into their coat. “Oh, sorry. Okay. Yeah. Okay.”
“This is what I pay internet for,” one viewer joked.
“Black cats are always so calm,” another shared.
“He so chonkyyyy,” someone else proclaimed
Someone else asked: “Is that cat high or he just chill like that?” And Michèle answered: “He just chills like this. Tipping him back sort of resets him.”
According to ASPCA Pet Health Insurance, cats don’t need regular baths for the most part since they’re pretty good at grooming themselves. Still, there are times when a bath may be necessary.
“You can bathe your cat in the sink or bathtub, depending on their size,” the organization suggests. The sink may be easier since you don’t have to kneel or bend down. You can also purchase a plastic tub from a pet store to get the job done.”
