Hashbrown found her way to PAWS of Coronado, which provides adoption services to the animals in the Coronado Animal Care Facility, after experiencing a long period of neglect.
Underweight and untrusting of people, PAWS gave Hashbrown the time she needed to recover and begin to trust again.Â
Hashbrown became the group’s front office dog, and she was always surrounded by people.Â
After just a few days she would venture out of her crate and come say hello but would quickly retreat.Â
Fast forward a few weeks later and she is a brand-new dog. She greets us daily with a wagging tail and play bows, and she loves to say hello to all visitors at the PAWS facility and is never far behind when it’s lunchtime.Â
Hashbrown is now healthy and growing her coat back. She is around 3 years old and recently went into a loving foster home on Coronado.
Hashbrown is looking for a loving and active family to call her own. She really enjoys the companionship of her doggy foster brother too!
Come meet Hasbrown, The Coronado News Pet of the Week, at the PAWS Ruff Run at 8 a.m. on Saturday in the Coronado Cays.
Hashbrown and a few other adoptables will be at the second annual run looking for forever families.
If you have a furry friend for Pet of the Week, send your nomination to craig@thecoronadonews.com. Include a picture and a short description of what makes your animal special, and why it should be Pet of the Week.
