The Lincoln Club Business League PAC is an organization that makes independent expenditures exclusively on behalf of MAGA Republican candidates. Donors to that PAC include Coronado Mayor John Duncan, his wife Peggy, and Council member Mark Fleming.
In its recent mailer, the PAC opposes Rebecca King, who, if elected, would be the only Democrat on the Coronado City Council. Laughably, it urges voters to “keep the City Council nonpartisan” by electing two MAGA Republican candidates, thereby shutting out Democratic representation and ensuring a City Council composed of four Republicans and one independent.
Do not be fooled by the Lincoln Club’s misleading tactics. We need balanced representation on the City Council, and Rebecca King is the only candidate who will ensure all Coronado residents—Republican, Democratic, or independent — are represented.
