I have had the pleasure of knowing Rebecca King as my neighbor for many years, and during that time I have come to know her as a person of integrity, intelligence, and genuine concern for Coronado.
Rebecca has a true go-getter attitude. She is thoughtful, prepared, and willing to put in the work to understand complicated issues. She asks thoughtful questions, listens carefully, and approaches problems with both determination and common sense.
Her background also gives her a valuable perspective on our community. As a longtime military spouse, Rebecca understands firsthand the important relationship between Coronado and our military families. Her experience as a former city attorney gives her insight into how local government works and the importance of responsible, well-informed decision-making.
I have also been impressed by Rebecca’s desire to be ready to contribute from day one and by her emphasis on working collaboratively with all members of the City Council. Coronado is a close-knit community, and I believe the ability to listen, find common ground, and work respectfully with others is especially important.
Over the years, I have seen Rebecca’s commitment to our community firsthand. She cares deeply about Coronado and approaches challenges with energy, integrity, and a willingness to get things done.
