Kaye Marie Schneider, a family life coach, became the fourth candidate seeking election as a Coronado trustee this fall.
Schneider, owner of Lydia Company and founder of Vital Connections, could not be reached for comment.
According to the San Diego County Registrar of Voters, the candidate filing period, July 13-August 7, was extended to 5 p.m. on Aug. 12 for non-incumbents if an incumbent did not file nomination documents.
The Registrar’s candidate listing shows Schneider filed nomination documents on Aug. 10.
Three board seats are up for election. As of Aug. 12, official candidates are: incumbents Alexia Palacios-Peters and Malachy Sandie in addition to Margaret (Peggy) Mary Duncan and Schneider.
According to the Registrar, the final list of official candidates will be available in late August.
A campaign finance disclosure portal maintained by the Registrar shows forms submitted on behalf of Schneider, one of which has “Kaye@LydiaCompany.com” as an email address for the candidate.
This email address also appears under contact information in an online website saying Schneider is the owner of Lydia Company and founder of Vital Connections.
According to an online biography, Schneider is a nationally certified marriage and family life professional. Schneider is also an educator, facilitator and seminar leader, offering tools for implementing healthy life skills to families and individuals who encounter difficult relationships or addictive issues, it continues.
Schneider has a bachelor of science degree from Northern Arizona University, a master’s in theology and recovery and a master’s in family studies from Fuller Theological Seminary, according to the biography.
