This week is plenty busy for Coronado High athletics, but the two highlights of the week are senior nights. Boys’ lacrosse has its senior night on Tuesday, and boys’ volleyball ends its week with a senior night on Friday. 

27 Monday: 

Varsity golf is headed to Fairbanks Ranch Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe for a match against Cathedral Catholic. Tee times start at 3 p.m.

28 Tuesday:

The golf team plays for the second time in as many days. This time, they’re at home to face Steele Canyon. Tee times start at 3 p.m.

CHS softball plays against Morse High. Varsity is on the road, JV at home. Both games start at 4 p.m.

Islanders swim is at Brian Bent Memorial Aquatics Complex for the conference finals, starting at 5 p.m.

The boys’ lacrosse team is at home for its senior night matchup against Bishops. Games start at 5 and 7 p.m.

While the boys are at home, girls’ lacrosse hits the road to play La Costa Canyon. JV plays at 5:30, varsity at 7 p.m.

29 Wednesday:

Varsity golf is once again playing against Steele Canyon, this time on the road. Tee times start at 3 p.m.

Islanders baseball opens its week with a game against University City. Varsity is on the road, JV at home. First pitch for both games is at 4 p.m.

CHS volleyball is at home to face High Tech High. Games start at 4:30 and 6 p.m.

Conference finals continue for Islanders swim at Brian Bent Memorial Aquatics Complex (BBMAC), and once again, events start at 5 p.m.

30 Thursday:

Varsity golf is once again at Steele Canyon, this time facing Christian High School. As per usual, tee times start at 3 p.m.

CHS softball plays its second and final game of the week against San Diego High. Varsity is on the road again, and JV is at home. Both games start at 4 p.m.

Boys’ lacrosse is headed to St. Augustine High for games at 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. 

Girls’ lacrosse is also on the road, as they head to Cathedral Catholic for games at 5:30 and 7 p.m.

1 Friday:

Conference finals continue for the swim team at BBMAC, but the start time is TBD.

Boys’ volleyball has its senior night at home against Mira Mesa. JV plays at 4:30, varsity at 6 p.m.

Freshman baseball is headed to Bonita Vista for its first game of the week. First pitch is at 4:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, JV and varsity baseball are set to play against University City. This time, varsity is at home while JV hits the road. 

Track has the JV City Conference meet at Canyon Hills High. Events start at 4 p.m.

2 Saturday:

Freshman baseball is headed to Otay Ranch. First pitch is at 4:30 p.m.
