It’s another loaded week for Coronado High’s spring sports, with each team playing multiple contests. The most notable home games include boys’ lacrosse and tennis on Tuesday, beach volleyball on Wednesday, tennis and beach volleyball on Thursday, boys’ lacrosse and baseball on Friday and baseball again on Saturday to close out the week.
2 Monday:
To start the week, boys’ tennis is on the road at Bonita Vista. Matches start at 4 p.m.
3 Tuesday:
JV and varsity baseball are both playing against Bonita Vista. JV is at home, varsity is at Bonita Vista. Both games start at 3 p.m.
Coronado beach volleyball is at home to face Hoover. The game starts at 3:30 p.m.
The swim team opens its season at the Western League Relays at La Jolla High. Races start at 4 p.m.
The boys’ lacrosse teams are at home to face Point Loma. JV starts at 5, with varsity following at 7 p.m.
The Islanders softball team is participating in the Cary Weiler Cougar Classic tournament, facing Escondido. CHS plays at 5 p.m.
4 Wednesday:
Beach volleyball is playing at home for the second day in a row, this time against Olympian. The game starts at 3:30 p.m.
Softball plays for the second time in as many days, this time against El Camino. First pitch is at 7 p.m.
5 Thursday:
CHS baseball plays its second game of the week, this time against El Capitan. Varsity is at home, and JV is on the road. First pitch for both games is 3 p.m.
The swim team is on the road at Patrick Henry. Meet time TBD.
CHS beach volleyball is playing for a third consecutive day, at home again, against San Diego High. Per usual, the game is at 3:30 p.m.
Boys’ tennis is at home for its second match of the week, facing Canyon Hills. Matches start at 4 p.m.
6 Friday:
Both of the CHS lacrosse teams play Torrey Pines, with girls on the road and boys at home. Boys’ JV starts at 5, JV girls start at 5:30 and both varsity teams start at 7 p.m.
Islanders’ baseball faces Madison High, with varsity at home and JV on the road. First pitch is at 3 p.m. for both.
7 Saturday:
The track and field team is headed to Mt. Carmel for the Mt. Carmel Field and Distance Carnival. The meet starts at 8 a.m.
