The Coronado High School Architecture and Design Club concluded its blanket drive for homeless veterans in need this holiday season.

From Nov. 17 through Dec. 15, the club collected 51 blankets from collection boxes placed inside the front offices at Coronado High School, Coronado Middle School and Village Elementary School.

The club surpassed its initial donation goal and said the outcome totals approximately $1000.

“We are beyond grateful for the support of our community,” said CHS senior Daniel Vinegrad, the club’s president. “We deeply appreciate everybody who donated to our drive and helped us make a difference in the lives of our veterans.”
