23 Friday: This month’s Coronado Roundtable meeting, scheduled for Jan. 23 at 10 a.m. in the Coronado Public Library, will feature retired Navy Capt. Brian Drechsler.
25 Sunday: The Coronado Ferry Landing is slated to host a free weekend concert featuring The Exit from 1 to 4 p.m.
25 Sunday: An exhibit curated by the San Diego Potters’ Guild will run from Jan. 13 – April 12 in the Spreckels room of the Coronado Public Library. An opening reception will take place on Jan. 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. The San Diego Potters’ Guild is an association of more than 40 San Diego area potters located in Studio 29 in Balboa Park’s historic Spanish Village.
30 Friday: The finale of the Villa Lobos Festival is scheduled for Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. at the Coronado Public Library. The concert, “The Pride of the Caribbean and Spanish Flair,” is a celebration of strings. It will feature Francisco Vila on the cello, Isaac Allen on violin I, Batya MacAdam-Somer on violin II, Travis Maril on viola, and Lars Hoefs on cello. The concert is free and seating is first-come, first-served.
