On Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Coronado Public Library, five New York Times bestselling authors are slated to speak about their research in conversation with each other, followed by an audience Q&A and book signing.

Kate Quinn, a former San Diego resident, will be joined by Stephanie Dray, Allison Pataki, Kristina McMorris (a part-time San Diego resident) and Madeline Martin.

Quinn is the author of “The Alice Network,” “The Huntress,” and “The Rose Code,” among others. Dray is the author of historical novels such as “The Women of Chateau Lafayette,” “My Dear Hamilton,” and “America’s First Daughter.” Her most recent book, “Becoming Madam Secretary,” is a novel about Frances Perkins, the fourth United States secretary of labor.

Pataki is a former news writer and producer. She has written for The New York Times, ABC News, The Huffington Post, USA Today, Fox News and other outlets. She is the author of multiple historical novels, such as “Finding Margaret Fuller” and “The Magnificent Lives of Marjorie Post.”

McMorris is the author of two novellas and eight historical novels, including “Sold on Monday” and “The Ways We Hide.” Martin has written historical fiction and romance books such as “The Booklover’s Library,” “The Keeper of Hidden Books” and “The Librarian Spy.”

The event, put together by Adventures by the Book in partnership with the Coronado Public Library, is free and open to the public and seating is limited.
