Journey the horse continues to help a chicken residing on the same farm through a heartbreaking loss and is sticking by the feathered fowl’s side.

A previous post from @rebecka_walters explained that the chicken lost her entire family due to a coyote attack. After seeing how depressed and lethargic the chicken became, the farm owner and pet parent moved her from the outside pen into the barn so she wouldn’t be alone.
The chicken ended up snuggling with Journey in his stall while he was eating. From then on, the two animals were inseparable. Journey treated the chicken with the greatest care and gentleness, even letting the fowl perch on his back.
Followers were moved by the incredible bond between the two animals.
“This is the beginning of a lifetime friendship… I’m so happy they have each other,” one remarked.

A new chicken friend arrives
An updated TikTok revealed that the farm just got a new resident. Another chicken was brought home so Journey’s buddy would have a pal that’s “more her size”. The two feathered friends have been hanging out together and already formed a bond.
