The Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Omaha arrived at its San Diego homeport on July 11, following a 10-month rotational deployment to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.

ā€œI’m excited to welcome home the crew of this mighty warship, who showed incredible dedication and leadership during their deployment,ā€ said Capt. Jose Roman, commodore, Littoral Combat Ship Squadron 1. ā€œFrom multiple exercises with our partners to ensuring maritime security and freedom of navigation in critical waterways throughout the Indo-Pacific, Omaha has a great deal to be proud of.ā€
