There’s apparently a new star on ABC’s popular “Good Morning America” program. While viewers consider Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, and Michael Strahan part of their early morning routine, everyone on set was recently upstaged by a four-legged fur baby.

Stephanopoulos just added a new member to his family and asked his wife, Ali Wentworth, to introduce their latest addition.

Wentworth sat with the GMA anchors as she introduced Fig, thier family’s new Labrador puppy. Fig’s irresistable cuteness earned “oooh” and “aaaah” from the news team.

“She was rescued — we adopted her last night,” Wentworth explained in the Instagram video from @goodmorningamerica and @gstephanopoulos. “If she wasn’t adopted, she probably would’ve spent her life in a cage as a breeder.”

The beautiful pup was perfectly behaved as she contentedly sat on her mom’s lab looking adorable.

“She is really sweet,” Wentworth continued. “She was covered in ticks and fleas but not anymore. And we really wanted to adopt another dog.”

“She’s really very chill,” Stephanopoulos added.

The darling dog clearly stole the spotlight away from the team of celebrities. Fig’s sweet expression was sure to mesmerize every viewer.

The famous couple recently lost their dog, Cooper, who was a part of their family for years. Wentworth shared her sadness on Instagram in May 2025 with a beautiful montage of the loving canine companion with the family through different stages of life.

“The greatest dog and integral part of our family,” Wentworth posted, sharing some stories about her precious pooch. “He once swam after a giant Elk in a pond. Ate a whole bottle of melatonin and felt nothing. Always devoured all the candy in our Christmas stockings. Slept at the foot of our bed and dreamt running in place.”

Wentworth also described Cooper’s huge heart and epic kindness. “He loved every species,” she wrote. “Especially humans. Kissed and cuddled everyone that came through our door. Cooper was unconditionally adored by all.”

She concluded her post with a loving message. “I will miss him with all my heart. See you on the other side, Coop! We still have many squirrels to chase….”

Fig is obviously a very welcomed addition to this famous family.
