As Cats explains, despite not having sufficient evidence to explain exactly why kitties fake injuries, animal behaviorists surmise pseudo limping or a dramatic lifting of one paw happens after they learn it gets them what they want.
In other words, Ash connected the dots that a past time when she genuinely felt bad or was in pain garnered her sympathy, attention, and maybe even that dairy she’s after.
