A-list actor Antonio Banderas, star of screen and stage, is currently directing the iconic play Gypsy in Spain. In addition to his renowned acting talent, the Tony Award nominee has a gift for singing that is truly captivating.

Banderas recently shared his vocal warmup on social media and it quickly turned into a duet with his adorable canine companion.

#gypsyelmusical #Gypsy #Madrid

In the TikTok from @antoniobanderas, the actor is holding his little Chihuahua (named Gypsy, of course) and practicing some impressive vocals. The precious pup joined in, showing some prominent pipes of his own.

In the caption, Banderas explained how Gypsy became a part of his life and a cast mascot.

“Gypsy, our little dog, came into our lives just as we were starting rehearsals for Gypsy the musical,” the Uncharted actor posted. “He was two months old and grew up among dancers, singers, actors, and musicians.”

Apparently, Gypsy absorbed all the musical talent surrounding him and now occasionally belts out his own tunes. Banderas noted that the Madrid run of his show is soon coming to an end, which will be tough for the canine thespian.

“From time to time, he gets excited and we sing along,” Banderas wrote. “It’s also going to be hard for him to say goodbye to his friends from the company, who are finishing their performances on May 25th at the Nuevo Apolo Theater in Madrid.”

Followers applauded Gypsy’s performance, praising the pups vocal range.

“Unbelievable. Animals are the higher power,” someone commented.

“He sings from the bottom of his soul, he really has talent and of course his master does too,” a fan remarked.

“You have some competition there with Gypsy. Bless her,” another pointed out.

“This is the content that makes me happy,” a fan posted.

Gypsy may have to give in to popular demand and headline her own show one day.
