Huskies will scream for just about any reason you can think of. They love to scream: they do it when they’re happy, when they’re sad, when they’re in pain, and more. It never ends.
One Husky decided to show off his epic pipes during a trip to the groomer. When they went to blow-dry him, which is an important step, you’d have thought they were actively dropping him off at the pound:

I hope Denise Ordaz’s ears are okay after this one. If there’s one thing I’m sure of, it’s that working with these lungs can’t be easy!
Luckily for Denise, she’s just a groomer; she doesn’t have to go home with this sweet boy and listen to him scream elsewhere. He never stops doing it, just like most Huskies, but he especially ramps it up when the blowdryer comes out.
Not only is it grooming time for this boy, but we’re just about hitting the start of shedding season. Their coats are “blowing” for summer, which essentially means they’re thinning out. They do this naturally, which is why most people say shaving a double-coated dog is not necessary.
For the record, it could be worse, Mr. Husky! Your mom could shave you, and then you’d look like this:

Screams of fluffy distress aside, blowdrying after grooming is a necessary evil, especially for double-coated dogs. If you don’t blow-dry them after they get washed, they might end up staying damp.
That dampness can lead to matting or skin infection if it’s not addressed quickly. Human blowdryers often don’t cut it: they need powerful, industrial-grade blowdryers to really get all of that excess water and fur off.
Scream as he might, this Husky would definitely prefer this to a skin infection or matted fur, I bet. A little screaming and making the salon look like a winter wonderland is totally worth it!
