If you’ve ever heard the phrase we don’t deserve dogs, it’s usually used when dogs once again prove to us how angelic, pure of heart, and precious they really are. One Beagle who clearly illustrates this point only has three legs, and he took it upon himself to teach a matching tripod puppy how to navigate this big old world while missing a limb.

This adorable video really proves it, we don’t deserve dogs.

The precious video was uploaded to the TikTok for @pawfectpastures, and the caption reads, “Ruhn said “Momma! He looks like me! I’ll teach him don’t worry!” Awwwww!

One person commented, “When I realized they both were missing a leg… and the same leg! I love that they found each other!!”

Someone else responded, “You watch the pup with that natural little bit of worry, especially when he’s near the hole; but his little tail is wagging through it all. Like his teacher, he’s gonna be fine. ” So true. Another person replied, “Not me crying over a puppy seeing representation matters right in front of him.”

Aww, that’s so true. He has the best role model ever.

If you are considering adopting a fur baby missing a leg, there are so many great reasons to do so! These precious pets have so much to offer and so much love to give!

So many times, dogs and cats with special needs are overlooked in shelters. But adopting one of these precious pets can give you a lifetime of unconditional love and joy.

It’s important you schedule regular vet check ups for your tripod baby so your vet can make sure there’s no strain being places on their remaining limbs and monitor them for any health concerns. You also may want to provide them with ramps instead of stairs to ease pain on their joints, and keep their weight in check, but otherwise, your three-legged friend can be just as happy as any other four-leg baby!

Despite facing challenges, pets with special needs are often so resilient and can form deep bonds with their adoptive families. Adopting a special needs dog or cat means you get to experience the unconditional love and companionship they have to offer.

By adopting them, you are giving them a second chance at life and also feeing up shelter space so overcrowded shelters can offer a fur baby another chance to get adopted.

You become an advocate for their welfare and an inspiration to others, and you will hopefully encourage people you know to do the same. These fur babies require patience and empathy, and it can help you form a deeper appreciation for animals that are overcoming huge odds. It’s just a wonderful thing to do for you and for them. Every pet deserves a loving forever home!
