Two members of Coronado’s Girl Scout Troop 6136, Kate Bennett and Grace Dabbieri, will display their Gold Star Award projects on March 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Coronado Public Library’s Winn Room.

The Gold Star Award project is the highest achievement within girl scouts, akin to the Eagle Award in boy scouting. The project must demonstrate leadership, address national or global issues, and create a measurable, sustainable and positive impact.

Bennett’s presentation will focus on adding Naloxone to first aid kits as preparation for responding to an opioid overdose. Based on RSVP attendance, she will have Naloxone supplies available to hand out to attendees.

Blind from birth, Dabbieri will be discussing all things that individuals who are blind can accomplish, as well as explaining the importance of access. She plans to provide a relevant gift for those who attend.

All attendees who RSVP will receive gift items from both speakers. Those interested in attending can RSVP at SignUp Genius.
