Coronado will celebrate Valentine’s Day this year with a love-themed run on Sunday, Feb. 16.

Taking place at Tidelands Park, the 15th annual Valentine’s Day 10K, 5K, and one-mile races, organized by KOZ Events, will be slated with activities to celebrate the holiday.

Those interested in participating are encouraged to sign up as either an individual or as a couple. Jennifer Nanista Stephens, the event manager at KOZ Events, said that there will be a vow renewal held at the start line before the one-mile run, as well as a costume contest with tiki mask awards.

Stephens said the one-mile race will start at 7:30 a.m., and the 10K and 5K will kick off at 8 a.m.

The official theme of the race is “Celebrate Love, Be Active, Make Friends,” and race bibs will display one of three messages: “Available,” “Taken,” and “It’s Complicated,” for those looking to mingle.

“In 2025, we’re bringing back wedding vow renewals at the starting line,” said Carrie Panek, the race director. “Last year, over 200 individuals reaffirmed their love — a heartwarming way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, embracing couples, singles, families and friends.”

Registration is open at www.Valentinesday10k.com.
