No matter where you happen to be living in the United States this week, there’s a good chance that you’ve heard all about the wildfires that have been rapidly spreading in California. The terrifying and deadly situation means that many people have had to pack up and leave their homes behind, knowing they may never see them again. So many people are displaced right now, and that means that their pets are, too. And since fires don’t descriminate, that includes celebrities who live in the Los Angeles area, too.
On Wednesday, January 8, Paris Hilton took to TikTok to share how she was preparing her four small dogs to leave home, and even though she might be one of the most famous people in the world, the fear in her voice was unmistakable.

The video shared on Paris’ official TikTok account shows all four of the tiny dogs in the backseat of the car, which seems to be filled to the brim with belongings and supplies in addition to the pups.
“Okay, we found everyone and we are packing up the car, getting ready to go to the hotel,” she can be heard saying in the video. She sounds stressed and out of breath — just like anyone would be in a situation like this.
She later returned to the app to share another video of the footage of the city burning in the distance as they were leaving, breaking down into tears by the end of it.
Something like this is so horrific, it’s practically unimaginable.
Paris’ Malibu home was lost in the fire
It’s a good thing that Paris and her family were able to evacuate, because the wildfires are still raging on — and they’ve already suffered a major loss.
Later on Wednesday, Paris shared that she lost her Malibu home in the fire in a heartbreaking Instagram post that included news footage to show the devastation caused by these wildfires. In her caption, she called her situation “something no one should ever have to experience.”
“This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London,” she wrote.
She went on to say that she’s thankful that everyone, pets included, is safe, and encouraged her followers to follow evacuation orders.
“To the brave firefighters and first responders risking their lives to protect us — you are true heroes,” she added. “I am so grateful for your courage, dedication, and the incredible sacrifices you’re making to save lives and fight this unimaginable battle. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
