The cold weather season is officially here for many parts of the world. The first snowfall is always exciting as we enter into the holiday fun. But the white snowflakes are even more exciting and mesmerizing if you’ve never experienced them. And watching the snowfall does feel magical.

If you’re a little iffy about the cold weather creeping in, watching Archie, a Corgi puppy, experience the snow for the first time in his young life is the best way to warm your heart. Take a look!

On November 30, 2024, TikTok user Sir Archibald the Corgi (@sir_archibald_the_corgi) shared a video of the sweet little puppy going out in the snow for the first time. It’s the cutest snow video so far this year.

The little puppy is dressed appropriately for the snow, wearing a very in-season knitted sweater that features small white snowflake patterns. But it’s his adorable, too-cute little hops in the snow that have everyone in the comment section talking.

One person wrote, “I love when the snow gets so deep they have to bunny hop through it,” and another shared, “Just wait til the snow is deeper than Little Archie! You have to shovel tunnels all over the yard so he can still run and enjoy it!”

Another commenter shared, “Beware!!!! Corgis love the snow! My two keep us out in it all the time! They are the best!”

Do Corgis like the winter?

If we were to guess whether Corgi dogs are made for the winter, their fluffy fur would lead us to believe that they are. But their small legs would give us pause. But if you’re wondering if Corgis like the winter, the consensus points to an easy yes.

According to Dogster, Corgis like the cold weather and snow, and their double coats can protect them from wind and cold snow. But they still need to be monitored.

The site explains, “Corgis can manage reasonably well in colder temperatures but will need to be supervised closely in temperatures around 45 degrees Fahrenheit. ” This is because their doubled coats can soak up water and take a long time to dry, leaving them susceptible to cold issues.

“Walks should be shorter and around 30 minutes, if possible,” Dogster writes. “Frostbite and hypothermia can occur at lower temperatures, and a Corgi’s pads aren’t adapted to walking on icy ground.”

According to the Animal Welfare Society, you can play many fun games with your dog when it’s snowing.

One example is to build a snow maze. “If you have a large amount of snow in your yard, try shoveling an intricate path through it starting from your front door,” the site explains.

From there, you can make “twists and turns” and then place some treats along the maze. Then, you can watch your pup try to solve where they are.

Other games can include playing hide-and-seek, building a snowy obstacle course, going snowshoeing, sledding, or making snow angels.

We have a feeling there will be lots of fun snow adventures for the cute Archibald the Corgi in the future!
