In a 12-second video clip, we meet Blu and Benny, two Golden Retriever brothers who aren’t twins, but you could convince us they were after seeing this.

In the video, the two Golden Retrievers are standing at the back door in front of the patio doors. Outside we can see a person who is wearing a green shirt, and it looks like the two pups really want to be out there with him.
The song in the background of the video is really a third character because it sets everything up perfectly.
The song “A Summer Place” by the Hollywood Strings Orchestra has the perfect feel-good vibe, and that’s also what the two dogs are using their tail wags to express.
While the pups are watching what is happening outside that they clearly love and want to be a part of, their two tails are wagging in unison. Then it looks like they’re giving each other high fives with their tails because they lose going in sync and start tapping each other.
But with the music, it seems totally on purpose when the dogs wag their tails in perfect sync and when they switch things up.
“Synchronized tail wags,” the video’s caption reads. And in the comment section, people had a lot to share.
“OMG, so stinking adorable,” one person wrote.
Another added, “Totally adorable forst.”
Someone else wrote, “Love when it happens.”
One said, “Awww, why [are] they inside?” Thankfully, Blu and Benny’s parents said they “went outside eventually,” which is sweet to know.
Why do dogs wag their tail?
We know that dogs wag their tail and we have a pretty good understanding on why they do, but is there something more these dogs are trying to tell us?
According to the American Kennel Club, dogs tell us a lot with their tails but it’s not always as positive as it might look at first.
“In some ways, tail wagging serves the same communication functions as a human smile, a polite greeting, or a nod of recognition,” Dr. Stanley Coren, professor emeritus in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, wrote in Psychology Today, according to the American Kennel Club.
Being able to read your dog’s body language, including what their tail is doing, can help you learn a lot.
“Just as different human facial expressions mean different things, tail movements vary on how your dog is feeling,” the organization shares.
