Every dog is special in his or her own way. While some do funny dances or make a photogenic expression, others have a different way of expressing themselves. Such is the case with an irritated Pug named Floki, whose only real joy is “rage screaming.”
In a June 11, 2024 video posted on TikTok by Floki & Vienna (@budbud_vienna), the small but might pug is telling the world he’s had it and he’s not going to take it any more! Take a look!
@budbud_viennaon Mondays, he rages 👹 #pugs #scream #fypp #funny #monday
“On Mondays, he rages,” the caption says and the video is proof. The 22-second clip showcases how much Floki hates Mondays, people, or whatever he’s looking at, as he screams and bellows through the window curtain. Meanwhile, his sister, a Dachshund named Vienna, silently watches on. As compact as Floki is, his lungs sure do have range!
An attention-stealer by nature, the video has already been seen by more than 30,000 people who both support and relate to Floki’s rage.
“I LOVE the catching of breath from screaming. It’s ICONIC,” one person wrote. “That’s me in the morning,” another joked. “I cannot stop laughing. Floki is the best,” another added. Many more agreed that Floki is a whole mood and we are not worthy!

Why do Pugs scream?
There are many reasons dogs like Floki produce over-the-top screaming noises. According to Dogster, if shouting is a regular thing, it could be due to pain, injury, bug bites, sexual reproduction, or medical conditions (among others), so you should first rule those out for their safety.
If communication is an issue, a dog like Floki might express their excitement—or desire to play with whatever he’s looking at—from inside the house. Experts suggest obedience training with positive reinforcement to help with that, though consistency is key.
Other reasons dogs might be losing their patience could stem from territorial behavior. For instance, if someone passes by the house they may feel the need to shout about it. They may also feel frustration for the same reason, general anxiety, or they simply want attention. Dogster says creating clear boundaries and positive reinforcement to encourage patience may help. But some dogs, like it or not, are innately vocal so be sure you’re adopting the right breed for your lifestyle.
Maybe we could all take a lesson from Floki. When Monday rolls around, just scream it out into the void and see where the day takes you. It works for him!
