Productions of the Tony Award winning musical, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” will be featured at Lamb’s Players Theatre in Coronado through August 18.

Directed by Robert Smyth with musical direction from G. Scott Lacy, the show centers on a middle school spelling competition performed by multi-talented adults.

Four audience members will be invited on stage to compete in the spelling bee alongside the six characters. Those who are interested in participating can come to the show early to check in at the lobby.

The cast consists of Bryan Barbarin, Megan Carmitchel, Geno Carr, Nancy Snow Carr, Camie Del Rosario, Caitie Grady, Ernest Sauceda, Omri Schein and Ben van Diepen.

The band is made up of Ben Read, Diane Elledge, Stefanie Schmitz and David Rumley.

Performances will take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays at 7 p.m and Sundays at 2 p.m.
