“Our ducks putting themselves to bed,” the text on the video reads.

First, we see the cute ducks waddling back inside through the backdoor and down the living room.

Jelly, one of the ducks, nearly slips after kicking a toy that’s on the floor as he and his sibling slap their feet across the floor to go to their room.

The two ducks walk past the living room, down the hallway, turning a corner to go down another corner, and then into their bedroom. And the whole way they’re quacking at each other, probably venting about how the kid toys are always trying to get them into some trouble.

“Jelly saw his life flash before his eyes,” the video’s caption reads. “They’re the cutest! We love our animals.”

In the comment section, people were very in love with these two ducks.

“OK, now I need house ducks,” one person wrote.

“Okay, but the little cat door thing,” is what stood out to another person.

“He said ‘pick yo stuff up'” someone else shared.

“This is adorable. I want a duck,” wrote another.

Do ducks make good house pets?

While a duck is not likely on your mind immediately when you think about house pets but there are many who do, and there are many reasons why they’re fun pets. But should you have a pet duck? According to experts, it’s now always a good move.

Grubbly Farms’s first piece of advice if you’re thinking about having a duck as a pet is to check your local ordinances and restrictions. Not all areas allow for them to be kept in residential zones, so that should be your first step.

The next is to really be sure you’d have the ability to properly care for a duck and its unique needs.

“If you are not able to provide the right housing, food, water, and daily care required, then a pet duck may not be the right fit for you,” Grubbly Farms shares. “If you like to travel, finding a pet sitter for your duck (or ducks) may be a little more difficult than finding a sitter for a pet dog or cat.”

You need to look at how to build a safe space for your duck, there needs to be access to water, and you need to consider the reality that ducks can live for up to 15 years, so it’s a long-term commitment.
