While most people will probably at least tap their foot a bit when they hear a song with a good beat, it’s true that there are people who are more predisposed to dancing than others — they’re usually the first ones out on the dance floor at a wedding reception. And apparently, some dogs are the same way. Some of them genuinely get excited when they hear a song that makes them want to bust a move… and others just look like they’re dancing when they’re excited, period.
The second option seems to apply to the adorable dog in this TikTok video, but that didn’t stop his mom from adding the most perfect song to what looks like dance moves. This pup has the rhythm, whether he knows it or not.
@bailey.the.cockapoo.3Dancing Bailey feeling the friday mood 🩵 #cockapoo #fyp #dogsoftiktok #dancingdog #weekend #foryoupage
In this video that the very cute @bailey.the.cockapoo.3 shared on Friday, April 5, we can see Bailey, a Cockapoo dog, moving back and forth at a baby gate with a ball in his mouth, and it looks exactly like he’s doing the famous “Thriller” dance from the Michael Jackson music video.
So of course, the only thing to do was to add the song as the audio to this clip, and boom — he looks like he belongs on Dancing With the Stars. I’d vote for him, and judging by the comments, I’m not the only fan he has!
“He’s actually in time with music. MJ would be impressed,” one person wrote.
This is not the only time that Bailey has shown off his moves. Another video shows Bailey dancing as a club remix of a song plays in the background, and then there’s this clip of Bailey dancing to “Cotton Eye Joe.” LOL!
Is it possible that this dog could be this naturally talented at dancing? He most definitely has a gift!
Do dogs like music?
Bailey isn’t alone in his love of music and dancing. According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), studies have shown that dogs do like music (though they might be partial to what genre).
It seems that dogs like classical music best, which appeared to have a calming effect on them, while heavy metal is a no go — it just seemed to agitate them. They were indifferent to pop… surprisingly enough, since that’s what appears to be Bailey’s favorite genre!
But just like people, all dogs are different, so your mileage may vary with your own pups at home. Try out different songs and types of music and see how they respond. You might find that you have a dancer, too.
I can’t imagine any other dog loving music quite the way that Bailey does, though. I can’t wait to see what he dances to next.
