Chihuahuas may be small, but they have enormous personalities. Their formidable barks and fearless temperaments are unmatched in the dog world. Even the big dogs are often afraid when facing these 5-pound foes.
That’s why one veterinarian speculates that God and the Chihuahua came to an understanding during their creation. His theories on how they came to be will surely make you laugh.
Hear how he thinks it all went down in a video shared on March 21:
@amirthevetYoull love it ! This is a funny parody on chihuahuas ! Hope you enjoy ! #chihuahua #vet #vetmed #dogs
What veterinarian Amir Anwary (@amirthevet) is speculating sounds about right! Who knows a Chihuahua’s big personality better than a vet? With a thorough understanding of this charming breed, he may have a point.

When God made Chihuahuas
In his opinion, this conversation would’ve started with a Chihuahua thanking God for their creation but wondering why He made them so small. He describes the answer they may have heard, “Oh, I may be small, but I’ll have the attitude of four Rottweilers.” And their parent will also have the attitude of four Rottweilers. Ha! That’s essential for anyone with a tiny dog and a big personality. They also would have been concerned about how their attitude would protect them if they were to get into a fight with a larger animal. They need not worry, though, because “All big dogs will be scared of Chihuahuas.” Isn’t that the truth? I’ve had many big Rottweilers who were terrified of these tiny dogs.
It’s also likely that they would’ve been excited to hear that they can live up to 20 years, which is notable for a dog. Unfortunately, during that time, they will only be allowed to “Love one person and hate everyone else.” Regrettably, this long lifespan also came with the requirement of hating the veterinarians who would care for them. Lol! However, Amir isn’t even sure if God knows the answer to why these tiny dogs like to shake so much. As for their adorable big ears, which appear as though they would help them listen well and train efficiently, they are only there for show. I’ve found this true for all big-eared dogs, not just the Chi’s. Thankfully, while this breed has no significant health concerns because of their small size, it’s easy for parents to overfeed them and make them fat. He sums up that God created them to be “Some overweight, bipolar gremlin that gets angry with everyone.” Sounds about right.
Pet parents agreed with this veterinarian’s adorable assessment. One mother reported, “As a Chihuahua mom of two, I approve of this message. I myself am quite terrified.” Too funny! Another responded, “I have three overweight, bipolar gremlins, and I love them to pieces! They are spicy!” It’s all part of their charm. Dogs, like humans, are all unique, and their quirks make us love them.
While laughing about our dogs and silly personality traits is fun, parents wouldn’t trade them for anything. Even if they give us a few challenges, they are always worth the effort.
