There’s nothing better than watching our dogs have fun. Whether they are out exploring new territories or playing with new toys, their pure joy is always heartwarming to witness. It’s one of the many reasons that having them enriches our lives.
Unfortunately, sometimes their enjoyment can also cause us to have more work. This was the case for one mom, whose pups’ fun was also hard on her clean floors.
This video, shared on February 20, shows two dogs making the most of the wet weather!

This good time undoubtedly has pet parents everywhere cringing. Despite our efforts to clean the floors, our dogs manage to make them dirty again in the most epic ways. However, Koepka and Seve aren’t trying to be messy. They’re just dogs having fun in the temporary pond in their backyard. Pups, like children, embrace the rain and live each day to the fullest. After having this much excitement, these dogs likely needed to complete baths. Which probably meant Mom ended up with even more work than mopping floors. However, watching them have a ball is worth the effort they require once it’s over.

Tips for cleaning muddy paws
Although a dry towel can often remove a majority of dirt, it won’t get everything in situations like this. If your dogs are willing participants, you can try dunking their paws in a bucket of water and drying them off before they enter the house. However, if this isn’t something they learn to do at a young age, it might be a struggle to have them comply when they are older.
While it may not be as effective as submerging paws in water, something like dog cleaning wipes can also remove more dirt and grime than a dry towel alone. Adding an absorbent bathmat runner to the doorway can also help soak up the moisture grime as they enter the house.
People who watched the clip could totally relate! Viewer @MarinaMueller remarked, “Koepka & Seve don’t seem concerned, lol. Look at them go!” Nope, they’re not worried about a thing. Viewer @Jojo could relate, “Just finished my floors and already have dirty paw prints.” I consider it a win if I can make it an hour without paw prints on the floors.
The situation was amusing for us as we weren’t responsible for cleanup. Hopefully, it wasn’t as bad as this mom expected, and hopefully, sunny and drier days will arrive soon.
