It can be a challenge to share your bed with a dog. If you’ve been through this, you understand how even a tiny pup can occupy a significant amount of space. This is why it’s hard to imagine what it’s like sharing your bed with five full-size pups.

But one family’s lucky dogs all know the routine! They get in first, followed by Mom and Dad. However, they’ll have you wondering where everyone manages to fit!

This video from December 22 shows everyone getting tucked in.

Oh my goodness! I thought it was hard sleeping with two dogs, never mind five big pooches. This is a nightly routine only true dog lovers can manage. Tracey @tracyfosterling reports, “All the dogs claim their spots before we get into bed.” As four out of five climb on, they seem to know exactly what to do. Then it’s time to sing. Ha! She explains her fiancé believes the dogs enjoy it when he sings to them, which is why they’re howling along with him. How cute is that? She’s not so sure they enjoy it, but thankfully she was in the shower while this jam session was taking place.

Finding space in bed for five dogs and two humans

Once the singing is complete, they help their oldest dog to bed because she can no longer jump. She also doesn’t worry about stepping on the others who don’t seem to be bothered by her. Although it appears cramped, they adjust to fit her and her fiancé. Her biggest complaint, she reports, is that she rarely has much blanket.

This sleeping situation has people impressed. Viewer @briana inquired, “How do you get any sleep? Even with my 15-pound Chihuahua mix, she pushes me to the edge somehow.” Tracey reports they slept fine for eight hours without waking once. I find this very impressive because I’m always pushed off by my little dog, too. Viewer @Stevie recommended, “Separate blankets is a game-changer in general, but especially if you have large dogs sleeping in the bed. We each have twin blankets and I’ll never go back.” That’s a smart idea. Viewer @CheyanneCastro remarked, “Thank you, because we only have one dog and whenever I tell myself we need another one, he asks me where we are going to put them, and now I can send him this.” After seeing this, sleeping with two dogs looks easy.

Although not everyone can understand why someone would choose to sleep with five large dogs, many of us do. There is something about having them close by that helps us to feel safe and secure.
