Attention Coronado.
Do you care about our parks?
On Tuesday, Dec 5, just a few days away, the Coronado City Council is going to make the one big decision that will determine the future of our city’s largest park, forever.
But incredibly, the city staff and their park design contractor have not gathered one bit of statistically significant or statistically valid feedback from residents to help them in that regard.
Huge park, seaside location
Yes the park is in the Cays, but at 15 acres it’s huge, and it has an incredible seaside location.
It used to be the city dump, today it’s just grass and sprinkler heads, tomorrow it could be something fabulous for us all.
That’s what the Master Plan is all about, and the council has spent 4 years and hundreds of thousands of dollars getting to this point.
One key question to answer
But there is one key question they must answer before they go forward.
It doesn’t matter where you live in 92118; we are all paying for this park and it exists for all of us.
If you care at all, this is the time to speak up.
Regardless of any extent to which you may have participated up to this point, please take a minute now to share your views on the one question our council needs our help to answer, right now, because Tuesday, Dec 5. is not far away.
It will take you less than a minute.
