October is coming to an end, so it’s time to look ahead to upcoming November events.

3 Friday: As the conclusion of the library’s Autumn Concert Series, pianist Kenneth Brown will perform George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and other pieces.

As a pianist, Kenneth frequently performs both classical repertoire, as well as his original works, and those of his colleagues and other living composers, in environments ranging from concert halls to dance studios

The concert will begin in the Winn Room of the library at 1 p.m. and doors open 15 minutes prior to the performance.

6 Monday: Coronado author Stu Stall will discuss his new book “Hell House: True Stories From the Redheaded Stepchild” in the Winn Room of the library at 7 p.m.

This is a memoir from the redheaded step-child himself.

The story of our mom’s tragic death and the evil stepmom and her son the bully enforcer. Three years of hell and how we survived. Tales of growing up in the late ’60s and early ’70s. Parties, surfing, girls and all the fun you could have growing up in Coronado.

Connelly’s book will be published the day before the event, and Coronado is his second book-tour stop after Los Angeles.

The event, at 7 p.m. at the Coronado Performing Arts Center, is free and open to the public. Registration is required at Eventbrite.
