The Coronado Public Library, in partnership with the Coronado Island Film Festival, presents Film Forum Coronado, taking place the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the library’s Winn Room.
Film expert Ralph DeLauro provides a brief introduction to each film and leads a discussion afterwards, often including pointers about how lighting or camera angles contribute to a scene’s mood or propel the story.
“And Then There Were None” on Nov. 1
The Nov. 1 film is “And Then There Were None,” Rene Clair’s star-studded adaptation of Agatha Christie’s devilish, tightly wound contraption as 10 strangers are lured to a remote island by an anonymous host only to be accused of crimes and picked off one by one.
The cast includes Barry Fitzgerald, Walter Huston, Louis Hayward, Judith Anderson, and Roland Young.
