Coronado recently was named the 34th Top Meeting Destination in North America, an honor that speaks to the city’s versatility and wide-ranging appeal. Coming in at No. 1 was Orlando, while San Diego came in at No. 3.
Compiling top 50 list
Each year, Cvent Supplier Network draws from its hundreds of thousands of venues to compile the top 50 meeting destinations in North America. Cvent’s ranking embodies the City of Coronado’s dedication to providing a backdrop for both work and play.
The network has had its eye on Coronado for a while, first ranking the city 43rd in 2013.
In the decade since, Discover Coronado, the the City of Coronado’s official destination marketing organization, has worked to propel Coronado to its current standing.

Conventions form economic anchor
Meetings and conventions play an important role in forming that economic anchor.
“Group meetings support 11% of local jobs and generate $8.2 million in local tax revenues for the City of Coronado,” says Little.
