It’s another busy but balanced week for Coronado High athletics, as each team has two games this week. All games are high stakes at this point, as the regular season is almost finished and all games this week are against league opponents. 

3 Tuesday:

Islander girls’ soccer starts the week on the road against league rival Patrick Henry. JV plays at 4, varsity follows at 6 p.m. 

CHS boys’ basketball is also on the road at Canyon Hills High School. Games tip at 4 and 5:45 p.m. 

Girls’ basketball is the lone Coronado team at home, also facing Canyon Hills. Game times are the same time as the boys: 4 and 5:45 p.m. 

Islander girls’ water polo opens its week facing Mission Bay High School. Games are at Brian Bent Memorial Aquatics Complex (BBMAC) with varsity leading off at 3:30 and JV starting at 4:30 p.m. 

4 Wednesday:

The only Coronado team playing is boys’ soccer, with a home match against Kearny. Game times are 4 and 6 p.m., with JV playing first. 

5 Thursday: 

For its second game of the week, CHS girls’ water polo is at BBMAC again, this time playing Patrick Henry. Games are at 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. 

Girls’ soccer plays its only home game of the week against Point Loma High School. Games start at 4 and 6 p.m. 

6 Friday: 

CHS boys’ soccer ends its week on the road against Patrick Henry. Game times are the same as usual: 4 and 6 p.m. 

The JV basketball teams are on the road at Hoover High School. The girls play at 4, boys tip at 5:45 p.m. 

The CHS varsity basketball teams end the week with a doubleheader at home against Hoover, with tip-offs at 6 and 7:45 p.m.
