KOZ Events is hosting another Valentine’s Day Run this year for Coronado residents. The event will be held on Sunday, Feb. 15, at Tidelands Park.
The event is meant for runners of all ages and skill levels, whether that’s fast, individual runners, or kids participating with their families.
There are three different distances for runners to participate in: the 10K, 5K and one-mile runs. According to a press release from KOZ Events, the 10K is meant for more competitive, experienced runners, the 5K is for “runners and walkers of all paces,” while the one-mile is for those looking for a short, enjoyable run, or those running with kids and families.
Each group starts at Tidelands Park, with the one mile doing a loop in the park, the 5K runners going to the Coronado Golf Course pro shop and back and 10K participants running around Glorietta Bay, to the Glorietta Bay Park, and back.
Also included at the park is live music, food, costumes, finisher medals and awards for various age groups.
Every participant receives a long sleeve race shirt with heart designs and has the option of renewing their wedding vows for free at the start line, before the run begins. Runners also have the ability to register as either an individual or couple, and can even wear bibs showing their relationship status.
The one-mile run starts at 7:30 a.m. and is promptly followed by the 5K and 10K, which start at 8 a.m.
